The fate of Mr. 180

Number 180 is a death row prisoner who is on the last night of his life and is scheduled to be executed tomorrow. He is waiting in his cell for his family to get their consent from the family of the victim (his lover). The victim's family has said they will consent at the gallows, but the guarding soldier tempts him that this is not the case and they will not consent until an angel appears in his cell. Has the angel come to save him?
